In addition to Faculty of Graduate Studies' admission requirements, and Faculty of Science requirements, the Department requires:

a) A University of Calgary Honours undergraduate degree in Physics, Engineering Physics, Astronomy/Astrophysics, or equivalent.

b) Some supervisors may require a satisfactory score on the Advanced Physics Graduate Record Examination. Applicants should discuss this requirement with their potential supervisor or the Graduate Program Director.

c) Two reference letters.

Additional Information and Resources

The University of Calgary is situated on land Northwest of where the Bow River meets the Elbow River, a site traditionally known as Moh’kins’tsis to the Blackfoot, Wîchîspa to the Stoney Nakoda, and Guts’ists’i to the Tsuut’ina. On this land and in this place we strive to learn together, walk together, and grow together “in a good way.”
